Kia recalls Soul, Sorento models due to faulty wiring
Recalled: Sept. 2, 2010, 2010
Kia Motors recalled about 35,000 cars in the US because wiring in the interior lighting panels could cause an electrical short and lead to fires. The recall affects about 24,000 2010 Kia Soul compact wagons and more than 11,000 2011 Kia Sorento sedans.
Kia says wiring in the front door speakers of the Soul and interior door accent lighting in the Sorento may have been "improperly soldered."
