Feds warn of high cadmium level in children's bracelets
Recalled: March 11, 2010
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a warning about holiday-themed children's bracelets that were found to contain high levels of cadmium, which can be toxic to young children. Because the company that imported the bracelets is out of business, the agency is telling consumers who own these bracelets to dispose of them.
The bracelets came in two styles - one featuring Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the other featuring a snowman. They were sold at discount stores across the US between 2006 and March 2009 for about $1.
