March 11, 2010
Hitachi Koki Co. is recalling about 50,000 coil nailers in the US because of a faulty feeder that can allow nails to be ejected sideways, posing a serious injury risk. The company has received 37 reports of nails being ejected sideways, resulting in 15 injuries.
The nail guns were sold at Lowe's, Home Depot, and other stores in the US between November 2002 and March 2006 for between $350 and $400.
