The original candy-coated gum, Chiclets hit the market in 1906 after creator Frank H. Fleer derived the product idea from candy-coated almonds. Though many of us are nostalgic for the days when a box of 10 Chiclets cost a nickel, the old favorite continues to exist in the same form, flavor, and similar packaging.
