The Ritz-Carlton Boston, a city hotspot for 79 years, was purchased in November by India's Tata Group for the designer price of $170 million. Tomorrow the Ritz, shown here in late 2006, will become the Taj Boston, an unwelcome change for many. But Boston will always have its memories.
