The state tentatively awarded a tax break for the opening of a new Supercuts Hair salon in the Hingham Shipyard. The 5 percent investment tax credit is potentially worth nearly $12,500, based on the company's plans to invest $250,000 in the site. Supercuts already has 90 locations in New England, including one in South Hingham.
