Tax breaks: Potentially $150,000 in state taxes
In December, the state tentatively awarded a tax break to The Fresh Market, an upscale grocery chain, to open a new outlet in the Hingham Shipyard. The 5 percent investment tax credit is potentially worth $150,000, based on the company's plans to invest $3 million and add 47 full-time jobs. The grocery operates more than 90 other locations.
