Conrad Black

In 2007, former newspaper magnate Conrad Black was sentenced to 6-1/2 years in prison for stealing $6 million from Hollinger International shareholders. The prison term concluded a two-year fraud trial that targeted several executives at the newspaper publisher. Hollinger, which at its peak had been the third-largest publisher of English-language newspapers, sought bankruptcy protection in August 2007.
