Different call: Westford voice-over-Internet-protocol infrastructure supplier Sonus Networks Inc. said chief marketing officer Steve Edwards will step down at the end of the month to pursue other opportunities.

Warning: Chelmsford networking product company Sycamore Networks Inc. said the Nasdaq Stock Market warned that it faces delisting over a failure to file its financial results on time. Sycamore is conducting an internal review of its stock options grant practices.

Bottle recycling: Cadbury Schweppes PLC, the world's biggest candy maker, said it will sell or spin off its North American beverage unit that makes Snapple, Dr Pepper, and 7 Up, bowing to pressure from investors including billionaire Nelson Peltz, who sold Snapple to Cadbury seven years ago for $1.5 billion.

Avoiding damages: State Farm Fire and Casualty Co. avoided a potential multimillion dollar punitive damages award by settling out of court with a Biloxi homeowner who sued the insurer over Hurricane Katrina destruction.
