American Express admirals

Small-business owners who hold Platinum and Centurion American Express cards can now get free access -- with spouse and kids or two traveling companions -- to American Airlines Admirals Club airport lounges at Logan International Airport and 43 other airports worldwide. Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Northwest Airlines already offered the perk to top-level AmEx holders.

New flights to Yuma
You going to Yuma? New Englanders heading to the southwestern Arizona city for sun and golf, who'd now usually take US Airways through Phoenix or Las Vegas, get a new option Dec. 17 when Delta Air Lines launches two daily nonstops on 50-seat jets from its Salt Lake City hub. Another new option for a sunny destination: American Airlines begins twice-daily 64-seat turboprop service from Miami to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport in Florida Dec. 13, an alternative to AirTran Airways or Delta through Atlanta or US Airways through Charlotte.

Prepaid tolls in Denver
Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental, which this year began offering prepaid express-lane toll-road transponders for $9 a day in Dallas and Houston, last week expanded the Pass24 service to cover 65 miles of toll roads in metropolitan Denver.

New Zealand route
US Airways launches a code-share deal with Air New Zealand in October, pending government approvals, allowing customers to book one-ticket itineraries between the United States and the other side of the world (right) connecting through the Kiwi carrier's American destinations, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
