The plant produces about 120,000 plastic jugs in its "blow-mold room" every day. The plastic is heated up to about 350 degrees and a shot of air is pumped into the mold to create the milk-jug shape. Agawam's blow-mold machine produces a new gallon jug every six seconds, 24 hours a day.
