Express Scripts raises full-year earnings estimate

ST. LOUIS—Express Scripts Inc., a pharmacy-benefits manager, on Tuesday raised its estimate for full-year earnings from continuing operations to between $2.95 and $3.03 per share.

Previously, the company said it expected earnings from continuing operations of $2.92 to $3 per share.

Analysts, on average, forecast a full-year profit of $2.98 per share, according to a poll by Thomson Financial.

Shares fell $2.09, or 2.8 percent, to close at $71.47. Shares continued to fall in after-hours trading, slipping $1.47, or 2.1 percent, to $70.
