Opening Glance: Health care stocks waver in early trading

NEW YORK—Shares of health care providers and service companies were mixed in Tuesday morning trading, with analyst comments pressuring hospital operator Tenet Healthcare Corp.

A Citi Investment Research analyst began covering Tenet shares with a "Sell" rating, while a Deutsche Bank analyst downgraded the stock to "Hold" from "Buy."

Tenet stock fell 31 cents, or 4.6 percent, to $6.39.

Morning results for other stocks in the sector included:

Medco Health Solutions Inc., down $2.86, or 5.7 percent, to $48.45.

Humana Inc. rose $1.42, or 4.1 percent, to $47.79.

Aetna Inc. gained 6 cents to $44.02.
