MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Medical device maker American Medical Systems Holdings Inc. affirmed its full-year earnings outlook Tuesday, after reporting that first-quarter profit more than doubled.

DETROIT (AP) -- A few months ago, everything seemed to be going GM's way: the company had just struck a cost-saving labor deal, its new Chevrolet Malibu was winning plaudits and it still occupied the rank of the world's top-selling automaker.

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Express Scripts Inc., a pharmacy-benefits manager, on Tuesday raised its estimate for full-year earnings from continuing operations to between $2.95 and $3.03 per share.
