NEW YORK—Shares of biotechnology companies closed higher Monday as the broader market gained ground on a rising dollar and falling oil prices.
Here's how several key biotechnology stocks performed Monday:
Gilead Sciences Inc., up 84 cents to $54.48.
Amgen Inc., up 90 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $42.95.
Biogen Idec Inc., up 98 cents to $63.05.
Genentech Inc., down 16 cents to $68.37.
