NEW YORK—Shares of biotechnology companies closed mixed Monday as the broader market fell over a cautious economic outlook from a Federal Reserve official and the possibility of more troubles in the financial sector.
Here's how several key biotechnology stocks performed Monday:
Gilead Sciences Inc., up 58 cents to $51.67.
Amgen Inc., down 57 cents to $50.27.
Biogen Idec Inc., up 67 cents to $58.87.
Genentech Inc., down $2.01, or 2.6 percent, to $75.93.
