Suit aims to block Genzyme acquisition
A shareholder of Genzyme Corp. has lodged a lawsuit seeking to block Genzyme board members and the French drug maker Sanofi-Aventis SA from completing a deal in which Genzyme would be acquired by Sanofi for a reported offering price of $69 a share, a transaction that would be valued at about $18.4 billion.
