Hospital chain aims to exit real estate business
Steward Health Care System, the for-profit medical organization that has purchased 10 Massachusetts hospitals in just over a year, wants to sell a group of medical office buildings, lease them back and use the cash for its hospital operations. Steward is selling 11 buildings containing 350,000 square feet in office space on hospital campuses or nearby.
