Bedford robotic products maker iRobot Corp. rose after the company said that its self-driven, telepresence robot is ready for delivery. The Ava 500 video collaboration robot is available through resellers of partner Cisco products, the company said. The robot allows people to attend conferences without physically being present, through a self-driven robot with video capability. iRobot believes the unit’s potential uses include manufacturing, data centers, pharma clean rooms, and call centers. Each unit costs about $70,000.
