Think you can do a better job holding the presidential candidates to task than Jim Lehrer? Now’s your chance: The Boston Globe, MIT Media Lab, and Hacks/Hackers are hosting a hackathon to develop better ways to analyze, present, and discuss the presidential debates. Maybe it’s running Twitter sentiment analysis, sussing out candidates’ facial expressions, or offering a new form of fact checking.

Data from the first debates, including transcripts and video, will be provided, with the hopes that something can be turned around for use during the final debate, held Oct. 22.

When: Friday, Oct 19 (7-11 pm) Saturday, Oct. 20 (9-5 pm)

Where: The MIT Media Lab (E14-525), 75 Amherst Street, Cambridge, MA
