Bocoup Loft, the delightful web consultancy/hacker space, is hosting a Hubway data hackathon Saturday, helping participants dive into data detailing over half a million bike rides released by bike sharing service Hubway and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council. The hackathon is part of the Hubway Data Visualization Challenge.

The deadline for the contest is Oct. 31, and the race is still wide open.

“We’ve had very few actual submissions so far,” Jessica Robertson, transportation coordinator for the planning council, told me (as far as I can tell, as of writing, only three have been officially submitted).

The ones that have appeared, however, have been impressive. Below I’ve embedded some of my favorites, and you can see more on the council’s Pinterest page and on the contest’s submissions page.
