Who she is:
Tina Weber is the chief engagement officer for GearSay, Inc., which she describes as “LinkedIn for your athletic life.” Weber is also the lead organizer for the Lean Startup Challenge, a four-week business model competition in Boston for new local startups, which is launching in September.
Where she’s going:
Web Innovators Group 38: June 24, 6:30 PM at Royal Sonesta Cambridge. Open to the public.
“This event is just fun, I always enjoy the conversation. For me, a lot of the value of going to these things is the people you end up meeting. Wayne Chang, the founder of Crashlytics, which was acquired by Twitter for $100 million is speaking, so this week the meetup will focus on mobile growth.”
Venture Café: June 27, 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Cambridge Innovation Center. Open to the public.
“This is especially great for networking. They hold office hours for angel investors or industry expert for startups to get advice or mentorship, and this week the retail director from the Massachusetts Small Business Developer Center will be there from 2 to 4 PM.”
Innovation Breakfast: June 28, 8:30 to 10:00 AM at Café on the Common in Waltham. Open to the public.
“You never know who you’re going to meet, but I love innovation, I love tech, and I love hearing about new things. The group changes each time, so you draw a more experinced crow of solid, successful people. And the food is okay. I say, if it’s food, it’s good.”
