Catchpoint Systems Inc., a New York company that provides Web services, said that it has opened an office in Boston’s Leather District that will allow it to further grow its sales and support teams to bolster its continued product development.
Catchpoint says it helps companies better understand the performance of their online services so they can ensure a fast, glitch-free online environment to improve user satisfaction, reduce quality management costs, and protect revenue.
In March, Catchpoint closed a $3.2 million Series A financing round led by Battery Ventures. The company said it plans to have more than a dozen employees in the Boston office by the end of 2013.
“Boston is the mecca of Web performance,” Mehdi Daoudi, chief executive officer and founder of Catchpoint, said in a statement. “Its talented workforce and reputation as a business and technology epicenter make it an ideal location for our continued expansion. We are looking to further grow our sales and support teams and know the Boston market is the right fit to find people who share our passion in changing the way companies monitor website performance to boost customer satisfaction.”
