C.A. Webb is Executive Director of the New England Venture Capital Association, which represents more than 90 venture capital firms in the Boston area, which she describes as “the best place in the world to start and grow companies.” Her work at the NEVCA focuses on promoting the ecosystem, creating a community of entrepreneurs and investors, and engaging students in the startup community.

Where she’s going:

Apple’s Secrets: The Inner Workings of the App Store: July 16, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Intelligent.ly. Tickets are $25.

“I think anything Intelligent.ly does is worth taking a look at. It’s basically a startup academy ... I think it’s one of the best things to happen to the Boston startup economy in the last year.”

House party for Michelle Wu for Boston City Council: July 17, invitation only.

“She is a terrific 28-year-old entrepreneur making her first run for public office and a lot of people in the startup community really support her ideas.”

Get Your (Financial) House in Order: July 18, 12 to 2 p.m. at Wolf and Company. Tickets are $40.

“The Capital Network offers classes that are almost an expedited version of an MBA for an entrepreneur to know everything from how to build a realistic forecast to how to understand a cap table. It’s just a really great resource for new entrepreneurs.”

Startup Myths: There Is No Great Startup Marketing Talent in Boston.: July 18, 9:30 a.m. at the Cambridge Innovation Center.

“This is something that NEVCA hosts with two of my favorite entrepreneurs Sravish Sridhar, founder and CEO of Kinvey, and Rob May, founder and CEO of Backupify, two really hot startups in town. They work with us every month to attack a myth about startups in Boston. This is a program we offer specifically targeting earlier stage entrepreneurs.”
