Buyers not interested in buying this week

With little positive news to drive buying, stocks slumped. Unrelenting worries over the economy, driven by poor reports on jobs and consumer confidence, have kept investors at bay. CIT tumbled on concern the FDIC won’t give the lender access to its Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program. And in another blow to energy stocks, the price of crude slipped.
