Office furniture maker Herman Miller’s shares dropped after it reported fiscal first-quarter profit tumbled 75 percent as sales sagged. The Zeeland, Mich.-based company earned $8.4 million, or 14 cents per share, compared with $33.4 million, or 60 cents, a year earlier. However, CFO Greg Bylsma said there was some encouraging news indicating signs of continued stabilization in market demand.![]()
