Leggett & Platt’s shares rose after the furniture parts maker raised its full-year forecast, and third-quarter results topped expectations. The Missouri company expects 2009 profit of 65 to 75 cents per share. Earnings were $54.3 million, or 34 cents a share, vs. $32.7 million, or 20 cents, a year ago. Analysts expected profit of 28 cents. Standard & Poor’s upgraded the stock “hold’’ from “sell.’’![]()
