News that Boston Beer Co., which makes Samuel Adams, will team up with a German brewery, Weihenstephan, to produce a new craft beer cheered investors. The companies said the brew may attract wine and spirits fans. The yet-to-be-named brew will be marketed in Germany and the United States next spring. It will be sold in bottles with corks instead of metal caps, and will be made under Germany’s famous purity laws. The brewers described it as a Champagne-like “crisp pale brew.’’
