Pioneer Natural Resources jumped after it made a “significant’’ natural-gas discovery in Texas. A Pioneer well in Live Oak County had an initial flow rate equivalent to 11.3 million cubic feet of gas a day, the Dallas company said. The find prompted JP Morgan Securities Inc. analyst Joseph Allman to raise his rating on the shares to “overweight.’’ Pioneer plans at least four more wells in the same area.![]()
