Charles River Laboratories International Inc. shares tumbled after the Wilmington-based medical research company yesterday cut its 2009 profit forecast to a range of $2.28 to $2.32 a share. The previous estimate was $2.35 to $2.47 a share. Charles River has seen its sales suffer at its two units, Research Models and Services and Preclinical Services, over the past three quarters as companies rework their drug development operations, Dow Jones reported. The company is a global provider of solutions that advance drug discovery and development.![]()
