Brocade Communications Systems, the biggest maker of switches for data-storage networks, fell after first-quarter results missed analysts’ estimates. Earnings will be 9 to 10 cents a share on sales of no more than $550 million. Analysts forecast profit of 14 cents and sales of $556.9 million. The report follows a forecast from rival Cisco Systems that also fell short of analysts’ forecasts.
