Clothing sellers are paying more for cotton used to make textiles and oil used to transport them, and that will further erode profits of some brands, analysts say. “If your brand is powerful right now, then your pricing should stick,’’ Jeffries & Co. analyst Randal Konik said. “If your brand power is low, like The Gap, you’re going to have problems raising prices.’’ Fossil Inc. is among the brands positioned to grow, Konik said.![]()
