Broadcom, which supplies communications chips for Apple’s mobile devices, said third-quarter sales will be $1.9 billion to $2 billion. That beat analysts’ sales estimate of $1.93 billion. The California company’s forecast was driven by surging demand for the iPhone and iPad, which helped counter slower demand from handset maker Nokia Oyj, which Broadcom also supplies.![]()
