The Dow slid 400-plus for a fourth time this month on worries the economy is stalling and European banks lack capital. ‘It’s almost like a worldwide buyers strike,’ said Michael Mullaney, at Fiduciary Trust in Boston. Morgan Stanley cut its forecast, citing ‘insufficient’ action on Europe’s debt crisis. The US and Europe are ‘dangerously close to recession,’ it said.
