A Morgan Keegan analyst said hospital supply companies, including Covidien PLC, which has offices in Mansfield and Dublin, have the potential for earnings growth in the next several years despite a potentially tough economic environment. Lawrence Keusch highlighted Covidien, Baxter International, and Cooper Cos. as firms that are well positioned to grow. He prefers companies with limited direct Medicare exposure and strong balance sheets. He noted that Baxter and Covidien have solid free cash flow and relatively low debt-to-total capital ratios.
