Stocks fell, giving the S&P 500 its longest slump in nearly a month, a day after European markets slid. Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase fell on concern about a global financial crisis. Exxon Mobil and Alcoa lost on speculation demand for commodities will slow. ‘The big worry is the situation in Europe,’ said John Carey, at Pioneer Investments in Boston.
