New York’s American Medical Alert Corp. surged the most in the Nasdaq Composite after Tunstall Healthcare Group Ltd. agreed to buy the personal emergency response systems maker for $8.55 per share. The deal, which still needs the approval of American Medical shareholders, is expected to close at the end of the fourth quarter. UK-based Tunstall, a telehealth and telecare provider, operates in more than 30 countries.![]()
