Blue Coat, a maker of Internet security software, gained after it agreed to be bought by a Thoma Bravo-led investor group for about $1.3 billion. The deal is reportedly the fourth-largest Internet security acquisition since December 2006. Bravo, with offices in Chicago and San Francisco, focuses on software and business services investments, according to its website. Blue Coat was founded in 1996.
