Ben Quach, 21, a student at Temple University in Philadelphia, arrived at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, and was fifth in line. When the iPhone 5 release date was announced last week, Quach had already bought tickets to Boston to visit friends. "I need to get it now," he said. "It's the newest, fastest, slimmest."
Boston is a lot different than Pennsylvania, he said, where customers only need to arrived a few hours before the release and are still among the first in line.
