Pier 4
After years of delay, Pier 4 in Boston’s Seaport District will soon include three glass-walled buildings with hundreds of new residences, a hotel, and restaurants, adding to a burst of development activity that is transforming the city’s waterfront.
Executives with the property’s master developer, New England Development said that they will start construction on the first new building, a 21-story apartment and retail tower along Northern Avenue in mid-November. The $195 million project will also include include a mix of unit sizes from studios to three-bedroom apartments, a restaurant, and an underground parking garage next to the Institute for Contemporary Art.
