Balsam Hill recalls pre-lit christmas trees

The remote control receiver box attached to the pre-lit artificial Christmas trees can overheat and melt, posing burn and shock hazards to consumers. The recalls include 12 different models. there have been 10 reports of the incident, though none resulted in injury. The products were made in China and Taiwan and sold on Balsam Hill’s website from July through December 2012 for between $1,250 and $3,550.
