The average price for gas in Massachusetts was $3.58 a gallon in the latest weekly survey from AAA, down 8 cents from the previous week’s average, AAA Southern New England said Monday.
Massachusetts prices are 6 cents less than they were a month ago.
The latest Massachusetts price is 7 cents higher than the national average of $3.51 a gallon, AAA Southern New England said.
A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was 32 cents higher at $3.90.
In the latest weekly AAA survey of Massachusetts, the range in prices was is 40 cents, from a low of $3.39 to a high of $3.79.
AAA’s weekly surveys focus on self-serve, regular unleaded gas.
