The average price for gas in Massachusetts was $3.47 a gallon in the latest weekly AAA survey, down 6 cents from the previous week’s average, AAA Southern New England said Monday.
Prices in the Bay State are 18 cents a gallon lower than they were a month ago, AAA Southern New England added.
The current national average is $3.39. A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was 37 cents higher at $3.84 a gallon.
In the latest AAA survey of Massachusetts, the range in prices was 30 cents, from a low of $3.35 to a high of $3.65.
AAA’s weekly surveys focus on self-serve regular unleaded gas.
