The average price for gas in Massachusetts was $3.43 per gallon in the latest weekly survey from AAA, down 4 cents from the previous week’s average, AAA Southern New England said Monday.
Prices in Massachusetts are 23 cents lower than they were a month ago, AAA Southern New England said.
The current Massachusetts price is 9 cents higher than the current national average of $3.34 a gallon. A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was 45 cents higher at $3.88.
In the current Massachusetts survey, the range in prices was 39 cents, from a low of $3.26 to a high of $3.65.
AAA’s weekly surveys focus on self-serve, regular unleaded gas.
