The average price of gas in Massachusetts was $3.37 a gallon in AAA’s latest weekly survey, down 3 cents from the previous week’s average, AAA Southern New England said Monday.
The Massachusetts average is 9 cents a gallon lower than it was a month ago.
But the Massachusetts average is 9 cents higher than the current national average of $3.28.
A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average was 8 cents higher at $3.45 a gallon.
In the latest Massachusetts weekly survey, there was a 36 cent range in prices from a low of $3.23 to a high of $3.59.
AAA’s weekly surveys focus on the price of self-serve, regular unleaded gas.
