The Pinehills, a master-planned community on about 3,200 acres of land in Plymouth, reported “robust” new home sales for last year.

According to its website, the community’s homes are grouped together in small, organic neighborhoods that conserve open space. To date, about 1,800 residential homes, including custom homes, town homes, and cottage style homes, have been sold.

In a statement, Tony Green, managing partner for Pinehills LLC, discussed sales for 2013.

“Our new home sales increased by 36.5 percent last year, and our new home closings also rose significantly by 28 percent,” Green said.

In general, 2013 was a good year for local real estate, the Warren Group recently noted. The firm tracks local real estate activity. Commenting on Massachusetts sales for November, the Warren Group chief executive Timothy M. Warren Jr. said:

“This has been a banner year in local real estate, but one with a focus on rising prices. The sales volume growth has been more restrained and now we see a modest decline. We’re seeing the same thing in Massachusetts that the rest of the country is experiencing: a slight slowdown in home sales, driven by increasing interest rates and tight supply.”
