In a press release, Suffolk University said it is partnering with DeVito/Verdi on a marketing and communications effort to build brand awareness and communicate the achievements, advancements, and appeal of the Boston-based university. One campaign objective: “To share the Suffolk story.”
The release made no mention of the size of the advertising budget for the campaign.
Besides Legal Sea Foods, DeVito/Verdi said that it has done work for such clients as Herb Chambers, Kohl’s, Sony, Canon, Esquire Magazine, Men’s Wearhouse, Grey Goose Vodka, EPC Cigar Co., Massachusetts General Hospital, and Sports Authority.
A 2013 ad campaign from Legal Sea Foods embraced an inside joke at the restaurant company, a standard response to dumb things people say and do. The punchline: People making foolish choices aren’t eating enough fish. The Legal ads took that idea and ran with it, playing up the virtue of fish as “brain food.”
