Massachusetts gas prices rise 2 cents a gallon, AAA Southern New England says

The average price for gas in Massachusetts was $3.36 a gallon in the latest weekly survey from AAA, up 2 cents from the previous week’s average, AAA Southern New England said Monday. Despite the jump, the Massachusetts average is still 8 cents lower than it was a month ago. The current Massachusetts price is 7 cents higher than the national average of $3.29 a gallon. A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was 32 cents higher at $3.68. In the latest Massachusetts survey, AAA found a price range of 50 cents, from a low of $3.19 to a high of $3.69. AAA’s weekly surveys focus on the price of self-serve, regular unleaded gas.
