Bluestone Energy Services LLC, a Norwell-based company that provides engineering and project development services to utilities, retailers, and schools, said that it has completed a project that enables Boston University to integrate energy efficiency into the athletic facility that houses BU’s track and tennis teams.
Part of the project included a an LED lighting and advanced controls retrofit of the facility. The lighting control system can schedule and dim the fixtures based on event schedules, occupancy, and daylight harvesting, Bluestone Energy said in a press release.
In a statement, Bluestone Energy vice president Sean Fuller added, “This retrofit not only helps to lower BU’s environmental impact, but it stands as an example to current, visiting, and future athletes who will train and compete in the Track and Tennis Center.”
Bluestone said it has worked with a number of companies including American Airlines, Biogen Idec, Genesis Management Group, and Stop & Shop Supermarket Co.
