Shaw’s and Star Market launch One Fund Boston donation program

Shaw’s and Star Market, a West Bridgewater-based supermarket chain with 155 stores, said it has begun collecting donations from customers to benefit One Fund Boston, the group that seeks to help those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.

The Shaw’s and Star Market program lasts through April 25. The chain said it will match its customers’ donations to the fund up to $100,000.

“On this important anniversary, I along with the 18,500 associates of Shaw’s and Star Market would like to show our support to those most affected by the events of the 2013 Boston Marathon and express our sincere thanks to the first responders who helped them,” Shaw’s president Jim Rice said in a statement.
